A Royal Visit

In the summer of 2012, the royal couple went on an official summer cruise on The Royal Yacht Dannebrog. The ship docked in Faaborg on the 6th of June at 10 AM whereupon the couple embarked on a planned tour of the town to see among other things the old Town Hall and a range of local companies.
Tuco had the great honor of welcoming HRH The Prince Consort Henrik and showing him our modern workshops where we perform our daily work. The Prince Consort was a patron of commerce and sailing, so his visit at Tuco could hardly have been more becoming.
The Prince Consort was introduced to our ProZero line of boats built from lightweight composite materials. As a patron of sailing – and yacht race even – the Prince Consort demonstrated great understanding of the philosophy that we employ at Tuco and our ambition of providing the very best sailing experience. The concept of light weight, efficient lines and user-driven design was received very sympathetically. Experienced sailors know how important the right balance between comfort, design and efficiency is to the overall experience. The Prince Consort also showed great appreciation for the efficient building technique that we use to create a very broad range of vessels from a simple selection of elements.
It was an altogether delightful day, and CEO of Tuco, Jonas Pedersen and his wife Charlotte concluded the day aboard The Royal Yacht Dannebrog, where they had been invited to the evening supper.
